Escanaba Pulp and Paper Mill Located in Delta County Escanaba City, Michigan on the outskirts of the city alongside the Escanaba River originally began pulp production in July 1912. In the 1940s, the Mead Corporation bought the mill and continued to expand over the next four decades. Some of these projects included turbine generators, paper machines, power boilers, bark power boilers, and kraft pulp mills. The Escanaba mill currently employs nearly 1000 people and has capabilities to produce over 730,000 tons of paper each year.
