Diana Nickerson Jacobs
Diana Nickerson Jacobs is a shareholder with Goldberg, Persky & White, P.C. and has represented injured people there since becoming an attorney more than twenty years ago. Diana became committed to enforcing the rights of injured working men and women when she began working as a clerk for GPW’s predecessor firm, Henderson & Goldberg, P.C.
Diana’s legal expertise and experience have played a role in aiding hundreds of asbestos victims to find justice in the courts of Pennsylvania and Ohio. In addition to litigating myriad issues at the trial court level, Diana has argued several times in the Eighth District Court of Appeals of Ohio on many issues, including with regard to the application of Ohio’s asbestos tort reform legislation, also known as H.B. 292. For years, Diana co-managed GPW’s federal asbestos practice in relation to MDL-875 in Philadelphia, leading to the successful resolution of hundreds of asbestos lawsuits.
Diana manages the firm’s Medicare compliance and lien resolution in relation to the subrogation issues affecting plaintiffs seeking recovery for injuries caused by negligence and defective products. She has also assisted hundreds of former NFL players with respect to the implementation of the settlement of In Re: National Football League Player’ Concussion Litigation, as well as successfully briefed and argued numerous issues in Pennsylvania courts and other jurisdictions on behalf of former college football players suffering from traumatic brain injuries against the NCAA .
PRACTICE AREAS
We have a long history of litigation for mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, and related cancers caused by asbestos exposure.
Much has been done to improve the safety of those whose occupations put them at greater risk, but there are still times when safety takes a hit, whether through carelessness or outright negligence. Our occupational disease lawyers are familiar with the types of disease, cancers, and injuries caused by various exposures and understand the industries typically involved.
Whether through traffic accidents, slips and falls, or defective products, if you have been injured through no fault of your own, let us evaluate your case.
